A bag you carry every day deserves to be built properly. Every hide, every stitch, every piece of hardware is chosen, tested, and finished with that responsibility in mind.
LUNEBAG is built on a simple commitment: a bag should look better with age, carry the weight of real life, and be made from materials we'd be proud to carry ourselves. We source full-grain Italian leather, specify solid brass hardware, and partner only with workshops that can document where their materials come from.
Every LUNEBAG bag is held to these four material standards.
We specify full-grain leather — the topmost, most durable layer of the hide — and favour vegetable-tanned hides where possible for their depth of colour and the way they age. This is the reference we hold our tanneries to: consistent thickness, clean finishing, and material that is meant to be repaired and re-conditioned rather than thrown away.
We require traceability documents from our leather and hardware suppliers, and retain them on file. It lets us tell you, honestly, where the materials in a given bag came from — and gives us recourse if a batch ever falls short of spec.
Edges are hand-painted and burnished, and high-stress seams are double-stitched or riveted. These are the details that decide whether a bag lasts two years or twenty, so we treat them as non-negotiable.
If you'd like to know more about the materials or sourcing for a specific style before buying, our customer team is happy to help. We can share what we have on file, including supplier documentation where available, and answer any questions about care or repair.
We believe transparency is part of trust — and trust is the only foundation a brand worth keeping can be built on.
